I was not sure where this fit best. Sorry.

Is there a Boston VFR corridor for sightseeing

Thank you all. I’ll be IFR so hopefully they’ll give me a good tour if I just ask and we have clear VFR weather. I’ll be landing at BVY just north of BOS.

Is there a Boston VFR corridor for sightseeing

Hi, I will be flying up through the Boston area a week from now. I’d like to do a scenic tour but I do not see a FLY chart for Boston. Is there anything that is known to locals? I’d like to go around the west side of BOS. Thanks.

    Itinerary for Michigan tour

My wife and teenage daughter will be along. They both like nature so the State Parks and Picture Rocks will be on the itinerary for sure.

    Itinerary for Michigan tour

I read about 5d5 in AOPA magazine. It sounds worth a stop but I shy away from grass strips. The Cirrus has small wheels and only 7” of prop clearance. It’s a great XC plane but not versatile for off pavement. I have flown in to Triple Tree SC00 but they call that field the Augusta National of...

    Itinerary for Michigan tour

I’m thinking of taking a tour up along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan crossing over to the upper peninsula, then down the western shore through Wisconsin. Dates will be late May or early June with 4-5 days planned. The only thing I have for sure on my plan right now is to spend a day and...

ForeFlight Customers Invited to Participate in Mobile Clearance Delivery Testing

Hey Mike thanks for posting this. I’m not sure why TIM seems to have burr under his saddle about sharing aviation related information you are excited about. Anyway you handled it well.

Two landings and one takeoff from yesterday

Is this the same FastEddie from the COPA forum? If so I really need to come up and meet you. I've become very interested in the BushCat LSA as a compliment to my SR22. Watching you fly the Sky Arrow really has me interested now. P.S. I'd still like to come up and pickup one of the static port...

EFB's: What features/functions are we missing?

Aerovie has become the weather planning tool I use most. I'm beginning to consider switching to Aerovie to replace Foreflight as my in cockpit EFB when FF subscription comes up for renewal. I'm using Aerovie with X-plane now to get use to it.

    Learning & undestanding weather

Scott's course is the best thing I've found so far. I'm on the same journey as you, trying to understand weather analysis.

    Weather Analysis Checklist

Yes I went. Weather turned better overnight so I had 1000 ft ceilings at destination instead of the 200-400 which had been forecast the night before. Flight was uneventful. Departure was 400' ceilings so my bigger risk was there. Departure has an ILS and I have two close by departure alternates...

    Weather Analysis Checklist

Nate - thanks for the input. I agree that behind the front things will be better. I'm hoping it moves out before I arrive near the center of it at CHO on Saturday morning. I may delay a few hours if I think things will improve rapidly.

    Weather Analysis Checklist

I agree, my interpretation needs work and probably always will. I've taken Scott Dennstaedt's course last year. But it was a bit too much for me at the time as I was really new to trying to analyze weather. Any recommended courses or reading would be appreciated. I do think that interpretation...

    Weather Analysis Checklist

Wow, I have a lot to learn about weather analysis. I'd never heard the term extratropical cyclone but I'd certainly noticed that all fronts tend to end up in this state. Wikipedia is educating me now that I know the term.

    Weather Analysis Checklist

Thanks for the quick feedback. I was interpreting the warm front that extending eastward out of the low center right on the coast of VA/NC border as a north moving warm front but honestly I'm not well educated in interpreting the prog charts frontal analysis.

    Weather Analysis Checklist

Relatively new instrument pilot here, < 2yrs; I'm looking at a flight into KCHO this weekend 13-May-2017. The weather will be a bit ugly with cold front moving south east and warm front moving north. They join over the Virginia-North Carolina border and a slightly negative tilted trough axis...
