I did my first stupid thing...

I giggled. But I don't know how true that is unfortunately. All the instructors here seem to think i'm liable.

I did my first stupid thing...

Well I haven't even solo'd yet. He told me to fill it up and it happened :/ Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 2

I did my first stupid thing...

No because it didnt get sucked up, the prop hit it as it was wrapped around the tiedown hook in the ground. The bracket is what i actually hit though. If it were a rope as they had been previously (they had just got them in 3 days prior to my last flight) im sure nothing would have happened or...

I did my first stupid thing...

Yes, not the hook on the ground but the ratchet style "rope" Example It is primary training. But i was alone in the plane so I was PIC I would imagine.

Well luckily it's insured. I have to pay the deductible. New prop is all that is in order from my understanding of it.

I did my first stupid thing...

I was parking the ol' archer up after fueling and hit the metal bracket of the tiedown on the prop. Took a huge chunk out of it while my instructor just looked at me and shook his head. Never felt so stupid. WHY DIDNT I TURN WIDE ENOUGH. There's a grand down the hole. *sigh*

    Rudder Advice for a noobie.

Okay thanks. The reassurance helps. I just find it a bit out of the norm compared to others experiences that I've read. Hell even on my intro flight I at least flew with assistance till we were on final. He doesn't let me do that at all. But after reviewing my reading material it seems he is...

Alright fellas, time to bring the post back to the OP, you know, me ;) SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Last flight lesson was weird. We talked about emergency landings and why being a safe pilot is planning ahead, scouting for areas to emergency land etc. I enjoyed the preflight lesson but in flight was...

    ugh, I'm driving myself nutz

I drive 40+ miles each way for my flight lessons because its almost 100 less per lesson to do it locally. Just saying ;) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 2

Forgive me for this, but Ipad Mini or Nexus 7?

I love the chart of android fragmentation. It just shows how much better the android ecosystem is. At least they still support old devices. My original iPhone still can't recueve MMS. 3g hasn't had an os update in years and the 3gs is axed as well. Just ask my mother how frustrating being unable...

You're right lol. I was thinking of the greenwood one that I had missed. If you head out to any of the three, let me know! I'll buy you and possibly the parent some breakfast ;)

    T minus 22 hours 45 minutes

I felt the same way too. It's nothing like you think it will be. But i promise you this, it gets a little bit easier, and you learn a little bit more every flight. How long was your intro? You'll learn things like how to trim and maintaining altitude gets pretty easy once you learn how to...
