    Encription Virus Help!

Yep, probably all true. All I know is Mac OS has been far more reliable to me, and everyone I know who has macs has had really good luck with not getting malware. The same cannot be said for my friends running windows. If the situation was opposite this and I saw my friends with windows...

    Encription Virus Help!

Mac OS is the best anti-virus software I've used. About 13 years ago my business was all PC,s. I got malware that spread to all 6 of our workstations. I had issues 3-4 times within 1 - 1.5 years time. Out of desperation I switched to Mac and to this day I have never been infected with...

    Computer Suggestions Needed

I would agree on the Mac. I have owned and used computers with Windows, Mac, and have installed and used many variants of Linux. I do a lot of programming with web stuff and Mac has given me a nice balance for command line and graphical applications. Mac and Linux both operate very similarly...

    This magenta line business...

If all maps, charts, and navigation equipment where truely lost, I'm sure the majority of us could find an airport to land at simply by flying around and going to areas where there is population. This is the last ditch failure mode we all have if everything fails. As long as I have power and...

    This magenta line business...

It doesn't, but what does primary navigation have to do with either of these? Also if I did run out of fuel, I would rather have a nearest button and know I'm exactly x.x kts from an airport or start looking to put it down off field. Fumbling through charts and trying to figure out distance...

    This magenta line business...

Fatal accident rates are at an all time low and have been declining for the past decade. Where do you think this has come from. I'm willing to bet it's the magenta line and other in cockpit resources.

Darwin Award Apprentice - Landing on Residential Street

Just curious how many people commenting have ever used a n avadyne or g1000 system. Unless you are flying an instrument approach, the GPS doesn't line you up with the runway unless it just so happens your course line is that way. If he was following the magenta line he would have flown...

    Compression: What's good and borderline?

Id be more interested in a good boroscope eval and do a cut filter looking for metal and oil analysis. Also oil burn rate if that could be figured would be good, maybe a 3 hour test flight and see if/how much the dipstick moves. If they have an engine monitor see if you can get a dump of the...

    economy vs speed

Break it down to gal per mile. Which is (14 gph * (70/60))/145 mph = .113 gal/mi And 10 gph/110 mph = 0.091 gal/mi So at 10 gph at 110 mph you are more efficient, 24.2% more efficient.

Next steps? Shoulder not healing after spactacular fall.

Shoulder pain is not specific, but maybe read up on subacromial impingement syndrome. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3395987/ "Although impingement symptoms may arise following trauma, the pain more typically develops insidiously over a period of weeks to months. The pain is...
