yes perfect day for it..I did this flight in my warrior for the first time on super bowl sunday morning ..up to Poughkeepsie for some lunch..flew the hudson the whole way there and back and got a bunch of great pics....also got to see the Control tower at dutchess county....im gonna put some...

nice write up....closest i get to ewr tower is when im taking a commercial fligh tout of there or i saw something on the hstory channel or discovery or one of those channles about ATC and they featured newark tower...i think someone posted up a link to that show on youtube aorund here.. BTW...

i just would never cancel IFR in NY airspace..even on a perfect weather day .its just too busy, and too much going on..just do what your told and there will be no problems...thats my philosophy around there...your not gonna help anything by changing to VFR 5 miles from the airport..they still...
