Backup jump plane I fly also is 182A from 1956 with full STOL kit and wing extensions, it'll fly at 30 knots. You'll get used to it after flying it for a bit because it is totally different empty in a cross wind. Just keep your bank into the wind and you'll be ok, the gear on those planes are...
