I have a 2006 Sky Ranger[fabric covered] a Yaesu 550 transceiver.I would like to know the best location for an antenna,type of antenna,and do i need a 20x30 inch ground [aluminum] plane-thanks.

the noise stops when shut off. ANY ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. I did find a new ground source and that did help alot.

Use or dump? Rotax 912 UL 80hp. Coolant Is indicating255 F/Oil is 190 F,Exterior heat gun on Radiator shows 170 F in the inlet area and 140 F on the outlet area. I suspect a bad water temp sender. Thanks for ANY Ideas/suggestions.

Im guessing 180-190 coolant.Im about to install a in line water coolant gauge as my current temp gauge is in error-showing245.thermo heat gun on radiator shows 170-175inlet 140on the radiator outlet. Milwaukee,wisconsin ... all F not C

Thank you. I bookedmarked it,to be studied. And at a future date I plan to remove the the Evans waterless coolant and replace with recommended 50/50 coolant. right now im trying to eliminate strobe radio interference starting with removing negative 'ground loop',next will be the on/off...

Fair enough.Im being overly cautious-trolling for any 'bad' expriences-havent found any.In Brazil engines torn down after using 25% ethanol found to be spotless. Thanks for the reply.

Rotax operator Manual says 87 Octane is ok for the 80hp 912,nothing is said about 10% ethanol.I would like a general consensus from current owners. Thanks

I had bad /noisey reception.Read up on ground loops-make sure all headset jacks [ground loops] are mounted with non metalic washers.It solved my problem.

headset noise eliminated by use of fiber /nylon washers before mounting nuts for all 4 headset jacks on panel. gr8 article Kit Planes 2022 -Get Grounded.
