I thought I remember in years past you could fly into the show if you did some upfront paperwork. I noticed this year in the FAQ's it simply says "No". Has anyone flown their own plane into the base for past shows? Does anyone have any contacts to possibly get permission to fly in?

Just curious how the procedure works if you head out for half a day. How do you show the parking crew that I already have a spot with my tent waiting for my return?

Planning on flying to Oshkosh for the first time this year. I plan on flying over Saturday to beat the crowds and leaving Tuesday night. Coming from the Michigan side my course would put me right through the restricted airspace and Minnow MOA. Does anyone have experience with those areas...
