    Motorcycles?

Started riding dirt 1967. Have not been without a bike since. Still have a 74 HD ironhead I got in '76. Current ride is 04 Bourget low blow chopper. May add a big wheel bagger soon. Must admit, the plane is much safer.

    Any success with external sealers?

I saw a pitot tube leak repaired with a shop vac and super glue. It was leaking around the electrode connection. It was a last resort and worked well.

Perfect timing. That's the start of Spring Rally bike week. My route PHL - route 95 - MYR. (Driving a truck hauling motorcycles)

Do you think night flying should require a sing-off?

Your PPL is a license to learn. All through your training you are taught that, so the system works. Fly with instructor for reinforcement. Oh yeah, a big moon helps.

    Teaching yourself AutoCAD

+1 for the community college. I took a night course for intro to autocad a long time ago (autocad 10). After that, it was a function of working with it. I use it every day running 2013 now. Solid works is great if you need modeling. Some of us still use steam gauges.

    Post Fly-B-Q destinations?

Hey Jason, That was a great report on the Hudson corridor. The only thing that I can add is that the view at night is breathtaking. All those lights, the Statue of Liberty, and millions of city lights make it an unforgettable experience. Have to really pay attention because it is tight and busy...

    Small world.

I guess I am close minded. Nothing but a Harley for me. My chopper has two wheels.

    Finally, my 1st actual!

I can relate! I was only able to get about 2.5 hours of actual with my instructor and still don't have many hours despite having the rating for 2 years. Until I get more time with an instructor or very experienced pilot, my personal minimums are very high which includes renting a plane with...

    A new one

I agree with Lance and Richard. This is a situation where everybody is right. I would probably just wait the minute until cleared unless there was landing traffic right behind me creating a dangerous condition.

    I have been seduced!

Adam, What a rush! Had the same feelings when Jamie P checked me out in the Saratoga. More power, more speed, but more money. Enjoy
