New logbook entry this morning...

Pics? You can't just post about something exciting like this and not share photos. ;)

Definitely had my hands full - too full to take pictures after engine start, but here she is in the hangar.

congrats! I don't know how much different flying an F33 is from a G33 but I fell in love with it the first time I flew the G. The Bo is a sweet flying machine. if moolah wasn't an issue it would definitely be Bo for me.

The whole bar across the front of the panel to connect the yokes has always turned me off about the panel view of Bo's. What's up with that? I realize my Piper is the same way, but the bar is behind the panel. I'm just weird....

But I'd still like a ride in one based on what everyone says.

I definitely agree with you about the bar. I would say it prob impacts a noobie like me or gkainz more at first, but you prob wouldn't notice it if it was your plane and u knew 'zactly where everything was. it is odd, but I noticed each flight I took I got more and more used to it. not ideal, but not a deal breaker in my opinion.

I got my complex and HP signoffs in a BE33. Flies like a dream, lands like a pro, and has the most god-awful flap system in existence plus a funky panel layout.

Our panel is not ugly! :)

The bar, tho ... yeah, somewhat of a distraction but where are you "supposed" to look when you're VFR? :) "what bar?"

Logged 1.5 in a BE-33... man, if I would have known how nice this thing flies, I would have done it years ago!!!! :)
I flew a 33 series airplane a lot when I had access to one in Colorado. It is still my favorite airplane for longer flights.

As you may have found out it is also the easiest airplane to land. You have to work at it to get a bad landing.

Yes! Surprisingly easy! (and here I thought that was just my superior piloting skills!) :D

I love the 33. My boss has two that I have access to. One of which is legal to turn upside down!!! :)

On every really good landing complement I used to say, "it's not me, I'm not that good. :D

Btw, Does Ten Hi have a Bo? I forget what you guys have.

Congrats on getting some time in a nice looking plane! You may want to fire your club photographer though, 90% of those photos look like duplicates or have very little difference :). Get some panel shots, group pics, etc.

we have panel shots on the scheduling system ... in the process of trying to merge two web presences.
The tiny url actually points to a club member's wife's flicker account when they did air to air shoots of all the planes, so, raw, unedited, and not pared down ... another "AWM" action item (Awaiting Maintenance) ...

Gotcha. Don't get me wrong, they are all very nice shots of the aircraft :).

I knew about the Saratoga and Dakota. The Saratoga almost made me want to join when I still lived out there :)

Say Hi to Wayne for me.
Will do! :)
Oh, and the Saratoga and Bonanza are newer replacement aircraft for the prior Saratoga and Bonanza - we found some very nice upgrade replacements for the 2 earlier ones we own.

Me likey the Bo. Glad you got a little time in one.
I little time a little at a time :) Insurance requires 5 hrs min Time in Type before solo so trying to schedule that ASAP so a little time can become a lot of time! :)
