Since we are discussing pilot demographics in another thread, I thought it might be interesting to find out what they are here.

Still in my mid-30s, although I'm gonna need to drop the whole 'mid' part pretty soon. Heh!

39 and been a pilot for 13 years. In my head I'm still 28.

screw you. I have to drop the "thirties" part in 2 months.

I'm pretty sure I won't handle 40 well. My guess is it'll look something like this:

Getting old is not for the faint of heart,it's a bunch of work.

Over 60 pushing 70 but still think I'm 20 at times..... a bit harder to keep up with my 6 yo grandson but we manage. You know you're getting old when kids and wife tell you the story your about to tell, well they've heard it before, and more than once. But at least my stories are consistent, so got that working for me!

I'm 50. I like to tell chippies "Don't worry about being half my age. You're a lot younger than that!"

54 here and fortunately still have the health and energy like a 40 yr old. I am starting to think about all the dreams I had when I was young, and never realized them.... except for a very big dream.... to learn how to fly and have my own plane. That dream fulfilled has made a big difference. Now I'm thinking of other dreams I might try to realize. I always dreamed of being a rock star guitar player too, but now I'd have to buy a wig and hope 1980s glam rock becomes popular again :)

The big 4-0 happens August 23rd for me.. Still having a blast so that particular metric doesn't bother me.. I'm more concerned about how old I feel than what the numbers say.. Just bought my second airplane after a 13 year gap, and looking forward to many years of usefulness out of the dump truck!

Beautiful!

We call her the "Little Doctor".. In respect of her previous owner for 40 years who built an amazing airplane, and is just an amazing individual on all accounts..

Old enough to know better than to let on how old I am.

40 sucks.

I use to think that in my 20's and 30's I guess when you get older your perspective about age changes. The older I get, the more I realize how valuable time really is. I'm 45 soon to be 46. For all of the folks entering 40 it's not that bad really that kid in you will always be there, how much you want to entertain it is entirely up to you.

Smack in the middle of my life, and intend to stay there till I fall out.
(And with my newly earned Silver Badge, everything seems nicer. :) )
