I am writing this review as a caution to aircraft buyers and owners who rely on maintenance records when evaluating an aircraft. In connection with my purchase of a King Air 200B, the aircraft logbooks contained entries from Yuba-Sutter Aviation indicating that certain inspection work had been completed. After the purchase, Elliott Aviation reviewed the aircraft during subsequent work and discovered that the inspection reflected in the logbook entries had not actually been performed as represented. This was not a minor issue. The discovery resulted in more than $440,000 of additional required work and approximately four months of unexpected aircraft downtime. Had this issue been identified before closing, I would not have purchased the aircraft under the terms that I did. Aircraft maintenance logbooks are not casual paperwork. Owners, buyers, brokers, lenders, insurers, and maintenance facilities rely on them to determine the condition, value, and airworthiness status of an aircraft. In my experience, the discrepancy between the logbook entries and the actual aircraft condition created a major financial loss and a serious disruption. Based on my experience, I would urge future aircraft buyers to independently verify any major inspections or maintenance entries associated with Yuba-Sutter Aviation before relying on them in a purchase decision. I would also recommend that buyers require supporting documentation, work orders, inspection checklists, and independent confirmation before accepting logbook entries at face value. This review reflects my personal experience and the findings communicated to me after Elliott Aviation’s review of the aircraft.

I don't find outright fraud often when I'm doing a prebuy, but when I do it's pretty blatant. I'd say it's like 3 out of 100 where I'll find "oh, no you di-int" log entries.

Sorry this was found post-purchase, that bites.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m the owner of Yuba-Sutter Aviation, and I take your comments very seriously.

I want to look into this personally. Please contact me directly at the shop so I can review the records from that inspection and understand what happened. We stand behind our work, and if there was a failure on our end, I want to make it right.

You have my word I’ll get to the bottom of it.
Thank you for your post. I have contacted your shop prior to posting my message. All I got was, it is my problem. Please provide a contact number so that I can connect with you directly.

Thank you Perry

Is there a way to contact you directly?

Looks like the OP Daneshgari got banned, but would still love to hear the outcome of this.

I have enough benefit of the doubt for the mods that they had some tangible indication the Ejected user was not acting in good faith.

Maybe they just came to feel that this forum is not an appropriate place to settle the dispute. :dunno:

The ejected user also complained about Elliott in another topic after saying he rarely left bad reviews.
He did not answer any questions about this purchase/complaint.
The user is likely easy to find online, has multiple higher ed degrees.
Had bought a business and then sued the seller for misrepresentation.
Online complaint/review against Mercedes also.
I detest new users not so subtle new product push and reviews such as this.

Yep. Anyone who comes here with the sole purpose of pushing a product or bashing a business or person probably ought to be on a very short leash. That kind of suggestion/warning might even be something to add to the TOS when you create an account.
