A 37-year-old man who taxied his light plane down the main street in the WA Pilbara town of Newman and parked it at a pub has been fined.

You can't say he was winging it.

Where there's a will there's a government agency determined to keep it from happening.

We should be impressed that the guy figured out to steer with the pedals.

My dad once landed his Callair on a street in front of a bar in a small town to attend a party there. His crop dusting day took longer than expected and figured it'd be faster to just drop by in the plane on the way home from the field he was working.

Of course that was about twenty five years ago.

According to the article, not only was the plane taxiing, the propeller was turning!
