Touchdown! Greaser!
I've been doing too much travelling lately, and haven't had enough time at home just to fly and clear my head. The last time I had a chance, both the aircraft I'm cleared to fly were in for their 100hr mx.
Yesterday afternoon I took off early from work and headed out. While waiting for the fuel truck I watched a Stearman doing pattern work.
Headed to Fort Scott, KS for no other reason than that I hadn't been there yet.
Chatted with the manager for a while, and then sat outside, sipped a soda, and just listened to the silence. I think I was the only traffic they had all day.
Winds were very light and right down the runway at both my home airport and at FSK. Since I've had to deal with so much crosswind on my last several flights, I pretty much messed up my landings by anticipating a crosswind that wasn't there.
Another 1.9 hrs of mental health therapy in the logbook.
