I've never really thought of the DC-3 as a small airplane, but the triple 7 makes it look like a toy!

When I was working the Mustang gathering in Columbus, OH back '07 I got to watch workers load a 777 engine into an An-124 for delivery to Boeing in WA. According to a local the -124 has a self contained overhead trolley system capable of loading the engine without additional ground support equipment.

Apparently the An-225 can haul them, too...

The OP's picture is awesome. For reference, the ENGINE diameter on a 777 is the roughly the same as the FUSELAGE diameter on a DC-3. That helps put the scales in some perspective.
