I didn't sleep well last night...

Today all my machines are happy...

[root@CENSORED root]# uptime
13:37:39 up 1251 days, 10:12, 2 users, load average: 0.01, 0.09, 0.08

Project work is waiting on the Systems Architect to get the coders to move some directories down a couple of branches off of the HEAD, so things can be deployed easier...

New monitoring/patch system is spitting out "Happy Management" reports...

See, these are days where I should be happy, but I'm not. I either want to leave and go take a nap, or do something interesting.

Some days sysadmin is like being the Maytag Repairman, and other days it's like multiple Code 3 trauma runs, back to back.

Just like aviation .... hours of boredom, punctuated by moments of terror...

And worst of all... NO NEW JOKES IN THE JOKE THREAD. Sigh.

I take it back. There's one unhappy machine. One of the backup servers has filled up another Terrabyte of data, because the other sysadmin isn't monitoring his bloated MySQL backups.

But that can be fixed by kicking him in the nuts. So it doesn't count as interesting enough... haha.

Have we decided what day and time for the BBQ? Are we in agreement for FTG? Or another location? If it's FTG, bring the airplanes for the birdbath- the water is on and I have the garden hose.

Plus we'll have the honor of hosting the newest member of the MC.

Dunno. I was keeping that in the BBQ thread. I didn't start it.

We're going to change oil on 79M one of the weekend days, probably Saturday. She's overdue.
