Just when I thought superbowl half time show's couldn't get any worse... Madonna comes along and sets the bar even higher...

Do people actually sing and play instruments anymore?

At least that one year I got to see a boob. :D
 
You could have watched the Puppy Bowl. They had Kittens for the half time show.
 
At least she lip-synced and didn't try to perform live. That could have been brutal.

I might have posted this already: our local morning sports radio guys were doing a remote from Indianapolis all week. They were running out of things to talk about and one of them mentioned that "Madonna promised there would be no wardrobe malfunction." One of the guys said, "At her age I'm not sure I'd want to see that." The other guy jumped right in and said, "Hey, some of those parts might only be 2 or 3 years old!"

I watched, sort of, hoping there would NOT be a wardrobe malfunction.
 
I was a Maddona fan in the 1980's, she has a good voice (still) and I still like her music. That being said; the half-time show was a new low.
And that is saying something!

Where were the Americian Flags? Where was pomp and ceremony? Where was a Marching Band in a kalidscope of Red-White and Blue?

The Maddona Self-Promotion Half Time Show with a bunch of Hip-Hop fools left me totally cold.

Fact is, I might still like to see a wardrobe malfunction with Madonna - but I am not particularly convinced that she was actually there. Very little of what we saw appeared to have actually been there in the first place.
 
I thought it was "just OK" "because" she didn't try to sing.....
 
MIA, one of the back up singers flipped the bird to the camera. Classey. :rolleyes:

I guess the bigger question is why would anyone want to watch that cr** in the first place?
 
During the Superbowl, halftime allows viewers to visit the porcelain lounge, avoiding the need to miss any commercials during the first half.
 
One local bank's commercial here was exactly that... A bathroom break.

They came on and said, "We're giving you a chance to get up, run to the restroom and you won't miss anything. Seriously. Go."

Dude sat in a chair and stared at the camera for the rest of the one minute spot then did a little blurb for the local bank.

Was pretty funny, actually.
 
Y'know what? I actually enjoyed the halftime show. In fact, it's the best one I can remember in recent history, not that that's saying much.

And even if Madonna was lip-syncing, she at least did it VERY well - Always had the mic up to her mouth when she was singing and did it in sync and didn't screw up, unlike certain other performers who can't even get the national anthem right. :mad2:
 
It wasn't all that bad... at least the broadcast mix sounded good (easy when it's pretty much all playback, LOL).

But I could have done without the "upskirt" shots of the tightrope-walker-dude in the toga...:eek:
