Would You Rather

Can we choose what years of the life to live? I really don't want to waste time going through diapers and school again.

A lot of sci-fi stories that involve people with long lifespans seem to have the characters always regretting it - everyone they've ever known and ever will know dies, family, friends,...

With that in mind, I'd probably take multiple normal life-span lives over a single really long one.

Good point. But oh those fun teen years lol. Second thought the 20 fifty year lives would work too.

Thought the same, then thought...if you're doing well (life wise) at 50, would you could you be bored with life and ready to give it up...at 50:confused:

Final answer for me would be the 10/100.

I wonder if I'd stay a male for all 10 lives. Would I be "me" for all 10 lives?

Can we carry the learned knowledge from one life to the next? I could rule the world within a few go-arounds.

So, pretty much you "lose your memory" from one life to the next.

How would it be any different than living the life we're currently living, since you don't know anything about the previous life you were in?

How would we know we aren't already doing that?

Long lives are not all that appealing unless it also applies to your family, friends, and everyone else. Many reach an age in life where their family and friends are mostly gone, and they realize they have no future, they are simply existing while waiting their turn to go.

They are pretty much isolated and alone, even with family visiting them regularly, they are clueless about what their old ones are experiencing. I remember my grandmother telling me one time in her later years, she was approaching one hundred, that she wished the good lord would just come and take her...she was tired of living a life of no purpose.

When her 91 year old daughter, my aunt, was dying, about twenty years later, in San Diego's Hospice, she was genuinely terrified of dying, she wanted no part of it....but she went ahead with it anyway.

I'm at the age where I take my mortality seriously, yet I still do not know what to think about it. I still have my health, which I believe is the most critical thing in regards to living a long life. After that goes, I am sure I will want to chase my ancestors into the grave.

If that applied to everyone, do you still think, even though you have not done it yet...as far as we know....that you would be that much better than everyone else? That's the trouble with level playing fields, they screw with our ambitions.

What if we could go back in time, and be able to take our AK-47 with a sh*t load of ammo, we could rule the world then, easy, piece of cake. What if we went back in time, and while getting everyone's attention, we kill one of our own ancestors? Now we have a genuine paradox...then what?

Imagine how small China would be if someone took out Genghis Khan before puberty.

If we are talking Connor McCleod (Highlander) or Flint (Requieum to Methuselah"), I'd take forever (skip the sword fighting stuff). The pain of a loved ones death can be eased by time. I would not want to relearn all my past failures or achievements or try to get lucky every 100 years brand new. The first time was a bear I never want to see again. Avoid being a teen at all cost!

I thought the name of this game was "who would you rather?".

All right:

1. Would you rather...
✓ Live one 1,000-year life?
✓ Or live ten 100-year lives?

Asked and answered. I'm going with twenty 50 year lives.

2. Would you rather...
✓ Have hiccups for the rest of your life?
✓ Or feel like you need to sneeze and not be able to for the rest of your life?

I already have hiccups for the rest of my life. Just only on rare occasions though.

3. Would you rather...
✓ Have the ability to read minds? (You will be illiterate.)
✓ Or have just have the ability to read?

Illiterate or not, bank account and PIN numbers can be very useful.

4. Would you rather...
✓ Watch your parents have sex every day for a year? (I’m sorry)
✓ Or join in once to make it stop? (I’m sorry)

Either one is a fail on very many levels.

5. Would you rather...
✓ Eat chocolate-flavored poop?
✓ Or eat poop-flavored chocolate?

Either one would work, as I wouldn't eat very much of either. I'd probably lose more weight with the first option due to illness.

6. You're on a desert island with a beautiful woman or man. Would you rather...
✓ They are top-half fish?
✓ Or they are bottom-half fish?

Well I'm a man so it's going to be a woman. I'd rather the top half be fish. Think about it. What can you actually do with a traditional mermaid? (Well I can think of a couple things but you can't get the whole enchilada.)

7. Would you rather...
✓ Fart popcorn?
✓ Or have your past and future web browsing history available to everyone?

I can think of worse things to fart.

8. Would you rather...
✓ Go to Hogwarts and still be a muggle?
✓ Or live in a world with Pokemon, but only be able to catch Magikarps?

Well in Hogwarts you could probably convince Harry or one of the others to turn you in to something other than a muggle. In Pokémon's world, I'm not sure there is a mechanism for automatically make you a better fisherman.

9. Would you rather...
✓ Have a vagina on your forehead?
✓ Or have a row of penises down your back like a stegosaurus?

A vagina on the forehead would be fairly useless unless you were extremely flexible, and it would be redundant at best since there is a mouth right below it. I'd probably opt for it though, as it would take a lot of waking hours to service the row of penae by hand.

10. Would you rather...
✓ Have a bell go off every single time you were aroused?
✓ Feel a sharp pain in your side every single time someone said your name?

I already feel a sharp pain in my side every time someone says my name, as it usually means I'm in trouble.

11. Would you rather...
✓ Have accordions for legs?
✓ Or have a huge belly button 10 inches long that swayed to the beat of popular music?

It's more like 7 inches long and a little lower, but yeah I already have that covered.

12. Would you rather...
✓ Have sex with a goat, and no one knows that you did it?
✓ Or NOT have sex with a goat, but everyone THINKS you did it?

I've never really fancied goats. If we were talking sheep it might be different. But I'd still probably opt for #2, as it would keep people on the edge.

13. Would you rather...
✓ Live in a world where huge, friendly gummy bears walk around?
✓ Or live in a world where hover boards exist?

That's a no brainer. I hate gummy bears.

14. Would you rather...
✓ Live the rest of your life with Cheeto dust on your fingers?
✓ Or have taste buds in your butt?

Probably the Cheeto dust. If you have the taste of excrement every time you crap, it probably means you're pooping out your mouth. That can't be healthy.

15. And now, the hardest would you rather question you will ever be asked: Would you rather...
✓ Have a side soup?
✓
Or have a side salad?

I hate soup. Well hate is a strong word. I'll take the salad thank you.

There is a movie on netflix titled would you rather. Kinda like the saw movies.
