I am trying to figure out what the East West blue line is or represents

Thanks

Tom

You got lucky, that's a missile track.

All seriousness aside, though, no idea, I'd have to guess a drawing glitch, without reading tons (almost literally) of documentation. Garmin isn't exactly known for an intuitive UI so this could be anything.

P.S.: Love all the greasy fingerprints on the screen. NOT! :D

The blue squares are routine PIREPs according to the GTN 750 manual. I have no idea what the blue line is.

I don't believe it to be a glitch, it is too purposeful with the white borders, etc. Notice also on the lower right of the screen there is another blue line pointing south-ish. Did these only show up in those precip areas? Might be some obscure nexrad setting

Didn't @azure say it was cold on Saturday? My guess is that it's a freezing level line, see section 12.1.11 of the pilot guide.
It was, but the OP's picture sure doesn't match figure 12-21, which shows freezing levels as contour lines with the altitudes marked. Totally different appearance. I fly with a 480, not a 750, so I have no idea what that line could be.

You might want to shoot Paul Sanchez (@sanchezpaulk I think his username is) a PM. He seems to be up on the arcane features of pretty much all the popular avionics.

Glitch showing the residua of a Military Training Route? Do MTRs show up anywhere in Garmin data bases? Are Garmin data based derived from Sectionals where MTRs are displayed?

It's the Blue Line of Death (tm - Microsoft Corporation). ;)

Well, here is the answer from Garmin.

The support specialist had to go higher up the ladder to find the answer, but here it is from Garmin:

"The blue lines that you saw are route PIREPs. They are reported along the particular route that the aircraft was flying."

That's really cool, thanks for the answer
