And was the national anthem duet intended as virtue signaling that a white male country artist and African-American female R&B artist can actually work together? I know, there I go being all gender binary and everything.

Pretty sure if someone hasn’t been covered in the AARP magazine, most folks here wouldn’t have heard of them.

They’ve been mailing me stuff for a few years, but I haven’t joined yet! :)

And I knew who The Weeknd was. :)

So I heard a bit more afterwards.
  1. The Weeknd had limited access to the field because of restrictions, and had to figure out how to do most of the show from the bleachers.
  2. Unlike almost everyone else in past Superbowls, The Weeknd declined to pre-record parts of the performance, which explains why the sound mix was off at the start (until the sound guy woke up at the mix board).
I'm too old to be a fan or a non-fan of The Weeknd, but I do at least respect that he didn't want to go all Ashley Simpson and risked 100% live instead.

Agree. He desperately wants to be the next MJ, but he does have a good voice.

MJ was talented, no doubt. But I liked him much better when he was still black.

What's the flag for?

If you don't know, I'm not going to tell you!
