I have a couple of these that I bought at $20ish a couple of years ago. Very well made and still working fine. They are not lasers... Just red or white LED lights. I question the 100 lumens. Still plenty of light for preflight or inflight usage.
Those have 4 modes: white, red, green, flashing red. They're quite nice. A bunch of hours and moderate abuse in the last month and no complaints yet. I'll see how they hold up over the next year however so far so good.

I'm a compulsive flashlight buyer, too. This year I used flashlights as stocking stuffers. Got some funny looks...
