Woman wrongly accused of stealing 12 pence released...after 70 years.

Not sure I understand what happened in the British system. dosen't sound like she was in prison but rather a type of foster care. Its not all that clear to me. But what ever happened it sure seems like something went very very wrong!

I'd assume it's something like that. Her records got lost so she just got shuffled around to various homes, but that's not freedom. :(
