Is anyone using WMP for Mac or is everyone just using Flip4Mac to play .wmv files?

If you are using media player for Mac how is it working out for you?

Windows Media Player for Mac is a point-less effort. It won't support many of the newer WMP videos. Microsoft no longer supports or updates it. In fact, Microsoft recommends you just use Flip4Mac.

Flip4Mac has played everything I've tried so far.

Thanks Jesse.

is there any real reason to also go to the PRO version of quicktime?

Tony, VLC is a media player.

Nick does VLC play all the latest media player stuff? What about M$ DRM?

To the best of my knowledge, yes. But I could be wrong on the "latest" stuff, since that could always change!

For playing stuff? No. Here's what it gets you:

BTW, I use Flip4Mac. Works great. The only thing that annoys me is how it's constantly telling me I need to update it. (constantly = once every few weeks. LOL)

As for Microsoft WMP - it's junk. I know, Microsoft, junk, redundant.

I think there is. The thing I use it for the most is Pro allow you to change the file type. I do alot of video, so converting from one format to another allows me tailor my distribution for my audience.
