Windows Media Player 11

I normally play my music through Windows when at my computer. But some of the songs are recorded at different levels etc.. SO, my problem is over modulating on some songs and not enough on others.
Is there a simple fix for this problem, short of adjusting the equalizer each time it changes from song to song?
Some way to set it to keep a constant level?
