Of course, we've got billions of dollars of damage from domestic dumbasses and natural causes as well which are a more clear and present danger.
 
There is only one way to combat mid-east terrorism and that is to get off oil. We are funding them with every barrel we buy, not only that, our involvement and manipulation of their politics that has been going on for a century now is why they are doing what they are doing. If we leave there, and quit buying their oil, we win the economic war and the physical war shortly thereafter. Let them go back to being nomadic goat herders.

The first few years won't be pretty. W have armed many of them very well. Of course, China's consumption will probably make up for our reduction.

That's fine, then China becomes their target, let them deal with it, they have the will to go in and annihilate and oppress, they have a chance of winning. In the mean time we can sell them all water.
