Wichita Vintage Sailplane rally

6th Annual Vintage Sailplane Rally will be October 1 weekend here in Wichita. Usually people show up Thursday and fly Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday before heading home. It's always a good time. There should be some rare/one of a kind gliders not only on display but flying!

We had a lot of fun. Pete flew the Cherokee on Friday and Saturday and landed at a grass strip about 50 km east of the field on Friday. I flew the NG-1 Saturday and the Cherokee on Sunday. Here are some pictures from Sunday:

I heard about this when I visited the museum of soaring in Moriarty, but alas, it was just a bridge too far with current rental rates.
