Why the double logout?

This was probably asked and answered back when the board started, but why can you log out twice? I hit logout, and I go back to a screen where I can enter user and pw, but there is still a log out text icon, and I can click it and log out further.

What does this do?

I had never noticed that before. Interesting!

From what I can tell, when you click "logout", the menu at the top (which we added ourselves) is being parsed and rendered BEFORE the logout request is being processed. Then you're logged out, so when you click logout again, its not really doing anything, just going through the motions.

I suspect if you reloaded the page after logging out the "first time" the link would vanish.
