Why is this seen as a crazy landing on news sites?

On most of the big jets, they are built to handle a touchdown in somewhat of a crab. I suspect the kick of the rudder was to align the airplane with the runway after touching down in a crab.

Bingo. CNN hasn't got a clue, so why not? A high school friend posted this link and I replied with a big yawn. And another high school friend who is a pilot for AA agreed. Slow news day.
