In the last few weeks it seems like everybody is saying "bring it."

The first I heard it was from Mickey Rourke on Shootout, about the director of "The Wrestler" saying it to him take after take on his big teary scene.

Now I'm hearing it everywhere.

Ok, I'm not in the Facebook crowd, but where do these things come from?

(I looked it up to see what it means (I did guess) and the origin. (Unknown))

As a baseball term it's been around as long as I can remember when describing a pitcher's fast ball. As in "that boy can flat bring it" whereas the description of a good hitter is "sneaking a fast-ball past that boy is harder than sneaking sunrise past a rooster."

I dunno but if you are ready to "kick it", "you go girl!"

"Bring it" has been a popular phrase among the young 'uns for a while, actually has been fading out recently, and this will surely kill it.

Somebody stop the world...

Not only did I notice the "Bring it" on teh Bounty paper towel comemrical.... I look out front door and see the BRING IT Plumbing, Inc. van parked in the neighbor's driveway.

I grabbed my tool-of-satan* iPhone and walked over to take a picture just as the plumber was leaving and talked to him to let him know I wasn't complaining or anything... I asked if he had just started out. Yeah, but he said he's been saying "Bring It" for years and now the world has it everywhere. :dunno:

* for whatever reason my iPhone camera pictures don't get saved soemtimes. Dunno what I'm doing wrong.
