Why are there no Honda rental cars?

I’ve seen just about every make of car available as a rental except Honda. Any idea why?

Honda does not do fleet sales...and a lot of the other brand subsidize the leases to put their cars on the lines....which Honda also does not do.

This. Companies like Hertz have had loooooooong term deals with auto makers, which in the case of Hertz used to be mostly Ford-centric long ago.

Makes total sense. Why though? Not something that’s needed to boost their numbers?
