We're in our bathroom.... News said they clocked 70mph winds and power lines down at my airport. It's 720 local now and I'd call it more "hit" than miss.

Yeah, but I'll be the guy that says "TAFs are only for the area within 5sm of the airport, and are invalid for anything outside of that."

(I did look at the RADAR though, everything is going to be a hit.)

Saw about 50 downed trees in the neighborhood, my neighbors car had an Oak crash on it, we were spared.

They just landscaped the office. Most of it is in the ditch.

Went from decent VMC to deadly to decent VMC in about 30 minutes.

Since it's variable you might be able to squeeze out with the occasional straight down the runway gust in a fixed wing hover maneuver.
