the sight picture different than what hey are accustomed to seeing.

I flew right seat in the 172 for the first time last week (with CFI for safety).
Hell with the site picture, I couldn't care less but my left and right hands were all over the place. Out of 6 tries, 2 were go arounds because I had no idea what I was doing with my hands.
On short final when I wanted to add power, my right hand pushed the yoke forward. On flare, when I wanted to raise the nose a bit, my left hand pulled the throttle. Jeeez!
The CFI was amused by my clumsiness and I was so happy that I actually had a pilot in left seat and did not go and start practicing right-seat-flying on my own

I used to fly from the right seat when my son was 15, letting him get unloggable time in the left seat for practice, he claims I am the worst flight instructor ever!
