Google translate can't help. The box says "Gres Porcellanato". It can't translate the porcellenato and something I read said it refers to any manmade stonery (pottery).
Anyone speak Italian?
It appears that you have a glazed porcelain tile. I pretty much agree with everything that Ron has said in this thread about tile, and also agree with the comments that if you installed it, you own it. The only exception would be if the product was misrepresented by the seller, and from what you have described, it appears that it was not.
I have used Italian porcelain tiles for years and never had an issue. I even set them using unmodified mortar, but that part also depends on the type of substrate.
