As one comment said, even if this doesn't affect us little guys at first, once the precedent is set and the camel's nose is in the tent, we would be next.

This surely cannot surprise anyone. We'll see it in every budget proposed, probably forever.

Much to AOPA's fundraising relief.

This has been part of every budget bill submitted by every POTUS since I started flying. I expect it will be submitted in every budget bill by every POTUS until I stop flying and beyond until Congress falls for it.

Since the democrat party leadership has decided not to offer a budget for the election year, this budget, with user fees, won't see any more light than the other five that never got to a vote.

One good thing about partisan politics trumping good governance is we won't have watch the pacs fight this battle

Maybe we should charge the pouts user fees for Air Force 1 , when he goes on vacation ,or fund raisers.

Whatever president is in office, his party pays for air force one usage associated with fund raising.

Vacations, I'm sure, go on our dime as it is the emergency command center and must be near the president at all times.

But, whatever, this discussion is just an "easy to wrap ones head about" distraction. The real issues with government spending are complicated enough that few want to actually spend any time thinking about them.
