Have in front of your residence. Ambulance, police car or fire truck.

As I was coming home a police car went past me and all I could think which would be worse to find in front of my house. Then I decided to ask y'all.

Fire truck. Then police, then ambulance. Fire truck and police are usually something that can be fixed with insurance or real money. Usually an ambulance in front of your house means something that cant be fixed with money, and usually cant be fixed.

When I owned a Crown Vic, I guess I had a police car parked in front of my house every day.

Loved that car. People would get out of my way on the freeway. On the other hand, they would slow to 55 on a two-lane in front of me.

A fire truck of course.

You people need to be beaten senseless. ;)

Anything is better than coming home to find a septic sucking services truck in the front yard....

That's because you didn't repaint it and had a light bar on the roof! :D

Well, the reasons for a firetruck being at the house are pretty varied. From "cat stuck in a tree" . . . all the way to "they got there before EMSA" or "your house exploded and we're pretty sure no one survived". Ambulance is almost always a bad deal, and cops usually only show up when someone broke in or someone got shot. :) Pick your poison.

When I was in law enforcement, the fire chief always asked homeowners if they have ever seen a dead cat in a tree. The answer was always no. He say it will come down when it's hungry and refused to take an engine out of service.

Lol, yeah don't want those busy firemen to take 20 minutes out of their day full of waiting around. :) I don't care about a cat in a tree in the slightest, but having to listen to the damn thing whine for days until it decides to figure out how to get down is annoying enough.

This is not an easy choice so don't make me. Or else. (I might find out where you live and send an ambulance just to give you a heart attack ... but hey, at least they'd be already there for ya! :D )

An anecdote: we arrived home from work one night to a trooper cruiser by the mailbox, him knocking on our door (and the dog not having any of it inside).
When we pulled up and got out of the car, the trooper greeted us politely and inquired whether my name was ABCD. I replied "negative, Mr. ABCD has passed away, we are the new owners".
He apologized and explained that they found an abandoned trailer on a side road somewhere with the license plate (which he was holding) in the name of Mr. ABCD with our address.
That license plate is hanging on the wall in my garage, among about 3 dozen other plates. :)
We did get a scare originally, thinking that our house was burglarized or worse.

Pellet gun.

Cop car, for the most part, at least now days, they are easy and predictable for law abiding constitutional folks like me, ether it has nothing to do with me, wrong address, or much like criminals they just want money and respect/power.

Fire and EMS, well that's when things are getting "real".

I'd rather deal with some cop, or worse pay for some justice than have someone at my home hurt to the point of EMS, or everything I own turned to ash.
