We have decided to purchase an MRX.

Now the issues are where and how:

where:
On the glare shield?
Under the panel with the antenna remotely mounted
Somewhere else?

and how:
velcro?
just sitting on rubber feet?
some type of bracket?

All input and ideas most welcome!
Thanks
Marc

I am a fan of Velcro myself, probably the best byproduct of the space program.

We went with the Monroy ATD-300+ with direction capability, voice and same size as the MRX. It came with mounting brackets and external antenna. Because of no panel space the unit was installed underneath the panel and the antenna on the belly. The external antenna is a must for total coverage.

Where does the antenna go top or bottom of fuselage?

Mine is installed on the fuselage bottom but you can install it also on top.
