my wife is taking the kids for sat and Sunday to NYC to see her sister. It’s just going to be me and the dog.
Planning putting some time on the prop. But not sure what to do or where to go. Can’t go too far as have to dog to consider (won’t take in plane).
Based out of KHZL. Have a trip planned next week to KLWM with fam. Got IFR cert in March.
Might go seeking some IMC to practice some approaches in if there is some this weekend. At very least going to file IFR.
Might fly half the leg to KLWM to practice the outskirts of NYC airspace.
Any suggestions on where to go? Was looking for a flyin but can’t find one.
 
Is there like a real cool aviation museum out that way that you've never been to?
 
Fly northish to Lake Ontario or Erie along the lakeshore. Stop, refuel, eat. Return. Take doggie for a walk.

Or see if you can find a Pilots-n-Paws leg this late.
 
Fly out of home airport, land back at same, maybe clean the plane some. Then back to the dog, if inclined, an IPA or 3.
 
I wasn't sure where this thread was headed when I saw the title. I was thinking bushes or perhaps behind trees.

Pro tip: Learn to identify what poison oak looks like.

Also one at FKL, don’t know how far is too far.
