Hi folks,

I'm traveling to NYC next week, specifically, Forest Hills (pretty much smack between LGA and JFK).

What's the best airport to fly into in terms of fees and transportation options into the city?

Thanks in advance!

KFRG, quick trip to Long Island Railroad. Sheltair and Atlantic will both likely give you rides from FBO to the train if you pre-arrange it.

I think the fastest way for you to get there would be from FRG. I never actually flew out of that airport but I used to be based in the area.
Just keep a look out for traffic, you'll have a whole bunch of jets along with a GA planes (there are a few flight schools in the field). Also there isn't much room to do an emergency landing around that airport.

Def KFRG, Atlantic will treat you right, They will get to the Long Island Railroad, and most likely your train will stop at Forest Hills.

Flushing airport ;)

How about flying into Floyd Bennett? :D:D

My first suggestion would be "in the air."

Now if the thread title was where to land/park in the NYC area....

Still got the runway, may have to dodge police cars and hikers.

Do the police still use Bennett for helicopter operations?

Lotta history at that place.
