Where have they gone?

At my age as an old/.bold pilot, I miss a lot of my friends who are no longer with us.

I did get a chance to chat with a friend of mine, Joe M., who is rebuilding a Piper J-3 Cub like the one I gave to my wife. Hopefully, when the weather improves, we will have an opportunity to go the airport and have a look at the project.

So many have "Gone West".

Having just chatted with my fellow pilot and friend, I am now energized to call some more of the few left.

As I get older quite a few of my pilot friends have passed,Jada group of about twenty pilots who used to do sun n fun and Osh,unfortunately only 4 remain and two are still flying. Miss the old crowd.

Thanks. Placed a call tonight, glad I did. Best instructor pilot in my unit, gave me my aircraft commander check ride 55 years ago. The ranks are thinning fast.
