When you're flying and just drank your last beer...

There was a character on the field where I instructed at, (WV) he had a clapped out C-182.

He called me one day and asked if I would ride with him on a business trip about two flight hours away.

I said sure, I would be happy to.

We meet, get the plane ready, and he does the take off and climbed to cruise. After a few minutes he turned the controls over to me. He then reached back to the cooler in back and pulled out an ice cold BPR, cracked it open and drank it. And five more during the flight. As he emptied one, he would open the window and toss out the empty.

I did not say anything, I did the landing, got the rental car and drove him to his meeting.

For the return trip I did the pre-flight as well as the flight back home, and he finished off the 12 pack.

And I got a $100.00 tip for the flight.

I thought for sure Burt was going to stick his thru the hole in the window like your 182 drinker, err driver. Awesome clip, thanks for posting Mike.

Growing up I remember the Hal Needham movies with Burt Reynolds movies and thought they were awesome and funny as all get out.

For science, when I was younger, I set out to find out how many beers I can drink and still land an airplane (on my home sim of course). After 12, over the course of about 2 hours, things started to get squirmy.
