any more?

I just told someone yesterday that I never heard of a McDonalds going out of business.

So much for that.

Nationwide, McDonalds is tearing down older properties and rebuilding on the same site. Here in Fayetteville, there has been at least three that I can think of right off the bat...

In many instances, the McDonald's real estate division owns the dirt and building and the franchisee leases the property and operates the location.

I know of a few that have moved based on population shifts in a town but never have known one to go out of business...

Here in Colorado Springs, they tore down a McD's and didn't rebuild and didn't relocate. The former location is now a broken concrete slab overgrown with weeds, probably going on about two decades now since the demolition. This McD's was never in a good location, situated right in the "ghetto" (well....it's ghetto for COS, if you're familiar with a real LA- or Chicago-style ghetto, well please try not to laugh at our definition!).

Except for this one single instance, any McDonald's that I've seen torn down were rebuilt bigger.

Anyways, that's a funny pic, thanks for posting!

We had one close, no relocation and it was changed into an Arbys

Kids, you can't ALWAYS be proud of the things they do but they are living proof that if it can happen it will.

Wonder how much his parents had to pay for vandalism to the chair?

To be honest I have to sympathize with the kid. There's no way you can be the sharpest tool in the shed at 12, it takes honing. When I was 12 the older kid across the street suggested we ride our bikes down the hill with our eyes closed and I was like - okay.....

I ended up busting the headlight out of a parked MGB but I lived and learned a lesson.

These fries would have been great if I'd been here this morning when you cooked them.

Oh I sympathize with the kid as well. Cannot imagine the ribbing he got after doing that. My comment had more to do with the lack of sympathy in the schools than anything else. Would not be surprised if he got detention(or whatever they call it today) for destroying school property.

Yep! Things get so bad, sometimes a little humor helps.
I am so tired of not laughing at things, for fear someone - somewhere will get offended.

Yeah, but she could add a quart to my engine any time she wants...or even take a quart!

Another aviator offering his love breakfast in bed. Mmmm...mangled mouse.
