I now have 237 miles on the Austin Healey's new engine. I had topped-off the tank with 11+ gal. of 91 Octane. After 195 miles traveled I refueled with 11.67
gal. of 100LL at the airport. 195/11.67 = 16.7mpg(not bad for a virgin engine).
But I think she runs better on the 100LL. The real hoot was looking at the bottom of the receipt: "Have a safe flight."
