Some of the titles on the videos out there say it was a Mexican drug cartel plane, but it seems more likely he was with family/friends, swooped low over the homestead, and caught a powerline, luckily able to put it down in a nearby field with no/minor injuries. Luck. Kee.

The PA28-140 I soloed in had a terse logbook entry from when it was about a year old: 'Replaced tailplane assembly with PNxxxx, xxxxx, xxxxxx, xxxxxx, inspected and ready to fly'. Reportedly the plane was used in a agricultural operation to chase starlings out of safflower fields until someone hooked a single wire rural powerline from below.
