Marvin McNeill was my special friend. He was an aircraft mechanic in WWII and helped me when I bought an airport queen 1959 182 in 1992, to get it flying. It was on the Caldwell, Idaho airport 45 miles from my home town of Vale, OR. When we got it flying I flew Marv every time I could. He had a son in Fossil, OR. and I flew him to Condon, OR. the closest airport, several times. He helped us change a coal room in our house basement into a nice bathroom. We were both in the volunteer fire and ambulance service. Both EMT II. we went on many an ambulance runs. When Marv died a number of years ago, his wife Colleen asked me to write a poem and read it at his funeral. The words would not come and I didn't give her this effort of mine until weeks later. I was going through things and found this copy I would like to share with you.

We use the word FRIEND and sometimes it is used loosely.

My Poem: Marv ~ FRIEND.

Well said, Bob. I have a feeling if the roles were reversed, he would say the same of you.
