Check out this:

The paint job and the fact that it's located in Napa (former training base) gives it away that this airplane used to be a Japan Airlines training bird. Reference: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Japan-Airlines--/Boeing-747-446/2450372/M/
ANA (All Nippon) in Bakersfield also has several Bonanza's on the line as training aircraft.

But what exactly is going on with the instrument panel? Why are the gauges so damn big? Every instrument appears to have some sort of metal clip poking out of the top… I've been in several Bonanza's myself but I don't think I've ever seen a setup like this one.

that looks odd. I put my nulite rings begind the panel which makes the instruments recessed

Seems to be a custom instrument package. I believe they dont have standard autopilots either so the AI is different from the one that drives the KFC200/150/225 series autopilots.

Interesting that it has no GPS. Otherwise, for the age and hours, not a bad price.

The strange part is the fact that each of the gauges, with the exception of the Bendix HSI, has the Beechcraft logo printed on them. Hmmm...

Is it possible that sort of inst mount allows for easier individual R&R?
