I'm afraid that if someone told you, they would have to kill you.

That or a new version of the F-18... Note the L3 box on the back of the trailing escort truck. I-44 is a main route out of St Louis where the F-18 is built, where do they build the F-22?

I saw two cones, so wouldn't that be an RV-20????

The Raptor has the rectagonal nozzles while the 18 has round. I see round under the tarp so I would think that is an 18

No big deal, they were just taking it down to Geico's place in Nebraska. He's got a final assembly team made up of a pharmacist, bank manager, school teacher, and a meter reader.

It must have been heading back to the factory, it was eastbound.

The L3 box you are seeing is my video camera, not on the escort truck.

Very possible... I remember as a kid watching them test fly the new F-15s as they came off the line on Fridays. Down the runway, suck the gear up, accelerate to the end of the runway then pull vertical and keep accelerating out of sight.:yesnod: Back then you could drive into the parking lots there behind where they would chain them down and run up the engines. We parked in a 77 Coupe DeVille probably 50' behind one when they spooled it up. Blew us backwards across the parking lot with all 4 brakes locked up. I don't know who got the bigger kick out of it and laughed harder, the guys running the test watching us or us in the car.

Not an F-22 or F-35....vertical stabs are definitely F-18. Size sure looks like a Super Hornet

It's the batmobile. Didn't they sell it for like 4 million dollars just recently?

How would you like that consignment fee...

I would love it.... Buyer pays 6% and seller pays 10% to Barrett Jackson..

672,000 bucks...

Not bad income for 6 minutes worth of bidding time..

My friend is the CEO of an auction company. We just discussed this at lunch today, he said he would have done the auction with nothing from the seller and that may be what happened. One of a kind very popular pieces like the original Batmobile bring in a lot of people and publicity. What is that kind of press coverage worth? Besides while waiting around for the Batmobile bidders might bid on a 57 Bel Air, who knows.

Barrett Jackson doesn't need the advertising value, they are already the known leader with their auctions gaining TV income as well.
