What's a good airport to rent from around NYC?

Hi all,

I have recently successfully passed my checkride in another state and I am now looking for an airport to call home around NYC, to continue my learning journey. I have done some searching on my own but couldn't find anything super exciting, generally too far.

I live downtown Manhattan; ideally it wouldn't take me too long to reach the airport.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

What's the budget?

There's Linden airport which several folks i know prefer to Caldwell. Waiting lists at most of the clubs are 6-12 months, so renting from a school may be your best option.
