What exactly are Mooney doing these days?

Last I heard, they stopped making aircraft a year or two ago, but still make spare parts.

More like a decade or two ago. Also, although they make parts, they do not make the whole nomenclature, especially for very old airplanes like Charlies. I heard finding gear doors after a gear-up is next to impossible, so don't do that unless you can fabricate your own.
