What A Great Day To Fly

Picked up the grand daughters and flew them to Barnstormers on the field in Norfolk, NE and had a great lunch. Then flew them back to Lincoln, let the 8 year old fly for 20 mins, and then back home after some maneuvers.

What a great day to fly! Cool air, few bumps, few bugs, grand kids excited to fly!

It doesn't get much better than that. Memories like that are priceless. I got to go house hunting today.....not nearly as much fun.

Sure was. Got a couple of short flights on my new speedwing then busted out the regular for some low speed soaring.

When we moved from Florida to Texas, my wife thought we could fly to the the then only grand child and bring her back for the weekends. The little girl was just past two. The daughter, my step daughter, told her mom that not one of her family was allowed to fly with us nor ride on our motorcycles.
Well it's her family, but needless to say my wonderful bride was very disappointed.
Me, I don't care, I'm not a kid person and it was fine either way.
But the Ms's and I sure enjoyed today! Only problem was, many others were enjoying the day as well and pattern was busy.

Agreed. Beautiful trip across the southern Rockies this morning. Here is Wheeler peak the highest point in NM 13,162'.

Man, what the H, I have no idea why it rotated. It was just an iphone photo shot the normal portrait way. Other photos I've posted have been fine, who knows.
