We've all been there;

I'll bet the pucker factor was pretty high in that cockpit.
Excellent reminder. Thanks for posting?

I am very familiar with this accident. This was the U.S. equivalent to a Part 121 operation.

The crew was truly incompetent.

I have neither been to Doha NOR Cochin. Cochain, yes, but not Cochin.

It really doesn't count unless you've done the mandatory 10 misseds, followed by fuel emergency and 'landing' below minimums. 'Near' a runway.

It looks like their companies sloppy fuel planning saved their bacon.

That's the same company whose 777 got intercepted over germany two weeks ago.

Which accident? From what I read, they landed RWY 32.
You are right. The report does have an (apparently standard) section, "Wreckage and Impact Information", which if you only read the index title might lead one to the wrong conclusions!

I have flown on Jet Airways from Dubai to Cochin. The flight was seriously overcrowded with lots of lap babies and stuff stored in aisles. It felt very unsafe and I would never fly them again. This was in 2009.

Did you read the accident report on the one I corrected? The last comment by the captain as they are going off the end, "Awww...big one!"
