A few months ago I spoke with Tim about doing a Northpoint XP470 (P-Ponk) for me. He said he may be retiring in the near future, and might not be around to support it. Caveat emptor...Tim's Aircraft in Long Beach... Know a few folks that have used them, and are happy.
I have heard good things about LyCon too.
I have a Northpoint XP470 (P-Ponk) on order from LyCon. I'm expecting delivery sometime in October or November. I thought their prices were legit, and their delivery estimate reasonable. My late helicopter mentor, who had been in the business for a long time before he died in a crash, had all his engine work done at LyCon. If it was good enough for him, it's certainly good enough for me!
I have to ask, was it an engine failure????
Yes, but a turbine engine while spraying crops in Minnesota. Wholly unrelated to the piston engines from LyCon.

Them going out / under new management, is a good thing. They were churning out hot garbage before the euthanasia."under new management" --I assume the former honcho retired. The new biz has some generic name now (aircraft specialties? something odd like that) -- teflon for the brain
